The Ambassador Program consists of an enthusiastic team of committed individuals called “First Weekend Club Ambassadors” who work individually or together, as part of a collective team. The program aims to build a Canadian film community, inspire and encourage creativity, and allows our Ambassadors to be recognized and appreciated for their involvement.   

A First Weekend Club Ambassador is someone who is interested in film and loves to be involved in the film community.  Ambassadors are given passes to see advance screenings of new Canadian films and if they like the film then their job is to promote that film to their friends, family and extended network by email, or by posting on blogs, Facebook or other social platforms.   

Ambassadors are also offered complimentary tickets to our Canada Screens series in Vancouver and Toronto and are encouraged to help us build our audience for this monthly event by telling their friends and extended network about the films we are promoting through the series.  Canada Screens only programs the best in Canadian cinema and offers the audience a unique and memorable cinematic experience, that often includes director talkbacks, live performances and our pre-show wine reception.

Simply, our Ambassadors are Canadian film champions who help us build excitement and enthusiasm for Canadian film by telling everyone they know about their great movie going experiences offered to them through First Weekend Club.
